The Good News
Jesus is the good news. He reveals what God is like, and has come to give us abundant life both now and forever more.
I’d love you to experience God like I have, so please read on for more!
My Story
When I was a teenager I battled with dark thoughts and contemplated ending my life. I just couldn’t see a reason to go on any longer. I had no purpose, and didn’t believe in myself.
But that all changed when I went to a Christian conference with some friends. As I looked around I saw they had something I didn’t have. They had a joy and life that was attractive. I wanted what they had.
I heard the preacher talk about Jesus. He told stories of how Jesus healed the sick, cast out demons, and had access to information that only God would know. I had heard all of this before, but I wasn’t prepared for what came next.
This preacher then started copying Jesus. This man then started healing people and setting people free in Jesus name. He was showing me that The Jesus I read about in The Bible was alive and active.
On the final night of the conference, I called out to God and asked for help. He answered me and filled my heart with love, hope and purpose. My life has never been the same since.
Since then I have seen God transform peoples lives over and over again. Jesus really does save! What He did for me, He can do for you!
What is The Good News?
-
You were created by God to experience His love, enjoy His life, and extend His goodness to all creation.
-
As life goes on we fall short of our created purpose. We get hurt, we get lost, and end up making decisions that hurt ourselves, others and God.
-
Through His life, teaching, death and resurrection Jesus show us what God looks like, forgives us and heals us for falling short, and makes a way to set us and the world back to how it was made to be.
-
Jesus offers us abundant life now and forever. He invites us to know and enjoy God, and returns us to our created purpose where we experience His love, joy and peace so that we can extend His goodness to all creation.
How do I accept the Good News?
-
We begin by accepting that we need saving. We acknowledge that we are lost and hurt, and that we have hurt others. We realise we have not lived up to who God created us to be.
PRAY
”God, I am hurt and lost and need saving! I’ve hurt others and have not lived up to who you created me to be!” -
We choose to believe that Jesus is God in the flesh and that He came to save us. We believe that by rising from the dead He is victorious over sin, death and the demonic realm.
PRAY
”Jesus I believe that you are God in the flesh, that you died and rose again and that you have defeated sin, death and every demon.” -
We change our mind to agree to with what Jesus teaches and commands. We turn away from all other gods and any behaviours, attitudes and beliefs that do not line up with who God created us to be.
PRAY
”God, I turn away from every other god, and every belief, behaviour, and attitude that does not line up with who you created me to be. I choose to agree with you from this day forward.” -
We dedicate our lives to knowing God more and more, to following the ways of Jesus, and extending the goodness of God to all creation.
PRAY
”I dedicate my life to following you and obeying you. I want to know you more and more. I accept who you created me to be and I commit myself to extending your goodness to all creation!”
Did you say the above prayer? I would love to hear from you.

“The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come so that you may have life, and life to the full!” -Jesus

There are numerous reasons that give us confidence that Jesus rose from the dead.
There are historical narratives that mention the empty tomb, and soldiers eyewitness accounts.
We also see that the transformation in Jesus followers following His resurrection, even to the point where each of His disciples were killed for preaching the risen Messiah. If He had not of risen, why would they choose a life of poverty, persecution and martyrdom?
Finally, when people place their trust in Jesus they have a tangible experience of the peace of God. This has been called “the inner witness of the Spirit” or “Blessed assurance.”At the end of the day there may be evidence, but it still requires faith.
To find out more about the evidence, I recommend Lee Strobels resources especially The Case for Christ. -
